Bunnahabhain Appoints Andrew Brown as Distillery Manager
Bunnahabhain Distillery on Islay has appointed Andrew Brown as Distillery Manager. Native to the island, Andrew has worked at the distillery since 1988 in various roles including warehouseman, mashman, and stillhouse manager.
Speaking of his appointment Andrew comments; “I am extremely honoured to be appointed manager at Bunnahabhain Distillery. Having worked here in many different capacities over the years, I have a detailed understanding, along with a deep respect and appreciation, for all that goes in to creating our award winning malts. It never ceases to amaze me the number of people that travel from across the globe to see where their favourite single malt whisky is made and stored. It is that enthusiasm, coupled with the skill, dedication and pride of our workforce, that acts as a constant reminder to me of the award-winning, unique and gentle taste that is Bunnahabhain. I look forward to watching over the Bunnahabhain portfolio and to ensuring the gentle taste of Islay goes from strength to strength for years to come”.
Andrew Brown’s favourite dram is Bunnahabhain 18 year old. He prefers to enjoy it with a spot of water, sitting in front of an open fire, on a night when the wind is blowing hard and the rain is coming down in sheets! He also enjoys Bunnahabhain in his homemade whisky and brown bread ice cream.
