Bunnahabhain launches a new World Duty Free Exclusive

Bunnahabhain Distillery has released a new limited edition global travel retail exclusive.

Scotland is already renowned for one or two smoked delicacies. And now here’s another: Bunnahabhain Cruach-Mhòna Islay single malt Scotch whisky. This exclusive limited edition introduces a wonderfully smoky dimension to the famous Bunnahabhain “gentle taste”.

Cruach-Mhòna (pronounced “Cru-ach Vhona”) means “peat stack” in Scots Gaelic. It’s the smoke from our peated malted barley that gives this limited edition Bunnahabhain Islay single malt its distinctive taste and because Cruach-Mhòna is of natural colour and unchill-filtered, it’s a taste that’s pure and strong. The first batch of this exclusive Bunnahabhain Single Malt at a higher strength of 50%abv liquid is contained within a litre pack in green glassware with a bespoke pearlised gift tube.

With a nose that is crisp and lively, with sweet peaty aromas, hay, herbal, dry smoke, the palate is quite light, malty, sweet then with white pepper, smoky, peaty, seaweed and sea salt. The finish is dry, smoky, spicy. They say there’s no smoke without fire. We think you’ll agree that Bunnahabhain Cruach-Mhòna may well be a spark of genius.

Katherine Crisp, Brand Manager for Bunnahabhain commented “we are sure visitors to Duty Free will be delighted to have the opportunity of being able to experience this wonderful “smoky” new addition to the Bunnahabhain family”.
