Bunnahabhain Sponsors Fine Dining Experience of the Year at Scottish Restaurant Awards 2011
Bunnahabhain Islay Single Malt Scotch Whisky was the proud sponsor of the Fine Dining Experience of the Year at the Scottish Restaurant Awards 2011, which were held recently at the Glasgow Science Centre.
The award was very deservingly given to Restaurant Martin Wishart, Martin Wishart opened his eponymous restaurant in Edinburgh’s historic Port of Leith with his wife Cecile in February 1999. Now celebrating eleven years of continuing growth, the doors that opened with just four staff now play host to a kitchen, front-of-house and management team of over twenty five.
The awards were an opportunity to see the talent and hard work of those involved in Scotland’s vibrant dining scene being recognised. The Fine Dining Experience of the Year is awarded to the restaurant offering customers the ultimate sophisticated dining experience. The restaurants considered are trend-setters as opposed to followers, and offer clients the best of inventive gourmet food.
The evening was hosted by presenter Tam Cowan, who has reviewed restaurants the length and breadth of Scotland over the past 12 years for his Daily Record column and he was recently awarded “Restaurant Critic of the Year”.
