After a crossing on the rough seas, Bunnahabhain’s welcoming nature is a joy. Unlike the typical, heavily-peated, smoke-filled malts of Islay, this dram embodies the island’s more approachable side.
The Whisky Making Process
Tales and records have it that our malt has started life the same way since 1881, with good malted barley, pure Margadale spring water, a little yeast and a sprinkling of adventure.
For around 10,000 years, Islay has been inhabited by man. But stromatolite, the fossilised evidence of life forming on earth found on our beaches, hints at tales from long before.
