Another Fèis Ìle has been and gone in the blink of an eye!  It was a real pleasure to welcome so many visitors from all over the world to our distillery, and really great to see the passion and knowledge which is shared amongst our fans.  We’ve chosen some of our highlights which you can see below.  Don’t forget to share your own memories and highlights by tagging @bunnahabhain on social media!

After a glorious week of sun, a rather cloudy Thursday had us all feeling a bit worried that the rain might return for our Fèis Ìle day.  However, we woke to a beautiful morning on Friday (01/06/18) as we made the final preparations.

Two tall ships moored off the famous Bunnahabhain pier made for a rather grand backdrop for our photos!  A special thank you also to The Flying Dutchman, whose dinghy saved us from the perils of the outgoing tide and meant our newest tour, ‘Westering Home’ was able to go ahead.

The Bunnahabhain crew ready and raring to go ahead of the big day on Friday… we couldn’t do Fèis Ìle without them; so a special thank you to the team!

Our new experience for our Fèis Ìle day, ‘Westering Home’ saw Bunnahabhain from a whole new perspective.  Our guests enjoyed a dram of our Moine Oloroso Fèis Ìle 2018 release whilst being whisked around the Bay, admiring the scenery and distillery in all its glory.  From the looks on their faces we think they enjoyed it as much as we did!

There’s just enough time for a quick interview in between classes.  Master of Malt chat to our Distillery Manager; Andrew Brown and Becky Paskin from finds out about our Fèis Ìle 2018 editions with Senior Blender, Dr Kirstie McCallum.  To read about their trips go to: and

Stillman Robin talks his guests through some of the drams he helped create

Dr Kirstie McCallum and Andrew Brown charm and delight a sold out masterclass as they talk through some of our limited editions and the Fèis Ìle 2018 releases.

Group distilleries manager, Stephen Woodcock shared his vast knowledge about whisky production as he showed a number of small groups round the distillery.  Finished off with a wee dram of the Fèis releases, this tour gave our visitors all the details they never knew they needed to know about production at Bunnahabhain!

Assistant Visitor Centre manager, Billy Sinclair pours the drams for a sold out dinner at the Ballygrant Inn.

It’s always good to see George back at Bunnahabhain after he worked here for so long.  He joined our ambassador, Scott to talk about some of their favourite drams with a small group of visitors.

Our ambassador, Stevie Clarkson makes sure our guests are well watered in the courtyard at Bunnahabhain Distillery.

Warehouse 9 has never looked so busy!  Our tour guides led some fantastic sessions, as our guests tried a selection of whiskies straight from the cask.  (Thanks to our tour guide @davidjbrodie on Twitter for capturing Warehouse 9 last week!)

Thank you to everyone who made the journey to Bunnahabhain throughout the week of Fèis Ìle.  It was a real pleasure to welcome you to our distillery and we hope you had as good a time as we did – until next year!
