2006 Manzanilla Matured

This limited edition single malt was hand selected and hand filled by the team at Bunnahabhain Distillery as part of the Warehouse 9 Collection.

The Collection is inspired by our Warehouse 9 tastings where those who make the pilgrimage to Bunnahabhain get to taste our special drams directly from cask.

This cask strength single malt was distilled on the 15th of May 2005 and fully matured in a Manzanilla sherry cask for 17 years.

Not all whiskies stand up to full maturation in sherry casks. Bunnahabhain, however, is a very robust and complex spirit. Unpeated and oily with notes of dried fruits and cereal, this 17 year old single malt is characterised by fig, toffee and crisp green apples.

Hand filled by Distillery Tour Guide, Ruth Buchanan, in October 2023 at a cask strength 58.6% ABV. Cask Number 1630.

Colour:

Warm Chestnut 

Nose: 

Delicate floral notes with white grape, honeyed apples, and lingering lemon zest.

Palate: 

The classic cereal and dried fruit notes of Bunnahabhain are complimented by fig, toffee and crisp green apple.

Finish:

A sweet caramel finish with dried fruits and a touch of walnut.
