About the Fèis Ìle 2019 Sauternes Finish 2001

Since 1881, Bunnahabhain Distillery has been producing exceptional, distinctive single malts. We do this through a mix of traditional processes, fine ingredients and patience. Lots of patience. An ethos shared by our French wine counterparts.

So, when our Senior Blender, Dr. Kirstie McCallum discovered a delicious 12 Year Old quietly maturing in our coastal warehouse and three Sauternes wine hogsheads, she knew the pairing would produce a single malt worthy of the Bunnahabhain name.

This special release was matured in a combination of whisky refill and finished in Sauternes casks for 5 years, producing 1188 bottles.
