TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Initial sweet notes of cherry ice cream and soft caramel fade to reveal toasted malt, dark berries and a subtle note of spice.
PALATE
Roasted nuts, cloves and toasted oak are met with wonderful fruity flavours of sweet red grapes, chocolate raisins and a gentle herbaceous background.
FINISH
Lingering spicy finish with a sea spray mist.

UNPEATED ISLAY
Unlike other distilleries on Islay, Bunnahabhain is known for its iconic, unpeated Islay Single Malt Whisky.
A ROAD LESS TRAVELLED
Situated on the Sound of Islay, Bunnahabhain is the most northerly distillery, only accessible by boat until 1960. Now by single track road, it is an adventure for whisky enthusiasts.
TALLEST ON ISLAY
Bunnahabhain's pear-shaped stills are the tallest on Islay. Their unusually long swan necks promote a lighter, delicate spirit character as heavier flavour compounds can't reach the summit.
UNCOMPROMISING SPIRIT
Non-chill filtered with no added colour, Bunnahabhain is a robust, oily spirit that stands up to full maturation in sherry and bottlings at cask strength.
