We are absolutely delighted to be able to celebrate Fèis Ìle both online and at the distillery on Islay this year! Step into our world and immerse yourself in all things Bunnahabhain - admire the 'view from the verandah' in person, soak up the magic of Warehouse 9, sample our delicious whiskies and chat to the people who created them.

Fèis at Home

 

We know not everyone can make the journey to Bunnahabhain to celebrate Fèis Ìle with us, so we're bringing some of the magic of the festival to you online.

Look out for sneak peaks behind the scenes at the distillery, festival atmosphere and maybe even a chat or two with the team! Follow all the fun on social media (@bunnahabhain)

Join our panel for Fèis at Home on the evening of Bunnahabhain Day from 7:30pm (BST) on our Facebook page.

 

Our panel including our Master Blender and Master Distiller will be exploring more about our signature house style, festival releases and may even have a surprise for you!

 

Join with your tasting kit, festival bottle or your favourite Bunnahabhain and don't forget to ask us a question in the comments!

Bunnahabhain Day: Friday, 3rd June.

We can't wait to welcome you back to Bunnahabhain to celebrate Fèis Ìle 2022! Our distillery open day will kick off at 10am with the below experiences running throughout the day.

When you arrive at the distillery, come and say hello at the welcome desk and collect your ticket. This entitles you to 3 free drams as well as £5 off 70cl bottles in the shop and a handy map of the distillery.  

As you may know, we can have all seasons in one day on Islay, so we'd recommend coming prepared for all weather. Don't forget your sunscreen, midge repellent, waterproofs and a warm jumper!

Our Experiences

Our big Open Day tasting returns with two new members of the team making their Masterclass debuts. Andrew Brown our Distillery Manager will be joined by Julieann Fernandez, Master Blender and Brendan McCarron, Master Distiller for their first session in the filling store.

Our senior whisky makers will give an insight into this year’s festival drams, the stories behind the casks and why they felt these best represented Bunnahabhain. The headline event every year for festival goers at the distillery, it's not one to miss!

Our most popular visitor experience for visitors and always a stand-out session at Fèis Ìle are the dramming sessions in Warehouse 9.

Held in our distillery's converted floor maltings, now home to our Bunnahabhain whisky maturing in the very best American and Spanish oak casks, hide away from the outside world for an exclusive tasting of unpeated and moine (peated) Bunnahabhain - straight from the cask

Warehouse 9 tasting with a difference – it’s not in Warehouse 9! Join our irrepressible Visitor Centre team in the Filling Store as they share some classic Warehouse 9 drams and talk all things Bunnahabhain and whisky from a different perspective.

Who knows, there may even be impromptu music, so sit back, relax and enjoy the craic!

Abhainn Araig


Meaning Araig River in Scots Gaelic, this Limited Edition has been matured in ex-Bourbon and Pedro Ximenez octave casks, hand-selected to push the boundaries of sherry maturation.


The result is a classic Bunnahabhain dram - bold, unpeated and sherried with a spicy cinnamon burst.

 

 

 



2004 Mòine Tokaji Cask Finish Whisky


The perfect balance of smoke and sweetness, this Distillery Exclusive festival release is made using our 'Mòine' (peated) spirit.


Finished for just over a year in Hungarian Tokaji white wine casks, this whisky is packed full of flavour; with notes of white chocolate, floral fruits, citrus and gentle woodiness.

 

 

 



1998 Calvados Cask Finish Whisky


Aged for 23 years, this sweet and fruity Limited Edition festival whisky has a powerful spicy finish.

Finished for 2 years in French Calvados Brandy casks, look out for flavours of apples and pears alongside signature Bunnahabhain dried fruit and sweet toffee notes.
