TASTING NOTES

NOSE

Golden raisins and apricots are balanced with toasted nuts and a light floral note.

PALATE

Malty sweetness, soft oak, and dried fruit intertwine with sultanas, hazelnuts, and gentle spice.

FINISH

Oak spice and light tobacco, with a gentle touch of sea salt and cocoa powder.

Matured entirely in our coastal warehouses, this limited edition cask strength release draws on a combination of pre-dominantly second fill Oloroso casks with just enough first fill and refill influence to add depth, not distraction. It’s a whisky that delivers clarity, structure and restraint.

Unlike other distilleries on Islay, Bunnahabhain is known for its iconic, unpeated Islay Single Malt Whisky.

A ROAD LESS TRAVELLED

Situated on the Sound of Islay, Bunnahabhain is the most northerly distillery, only accessible by boat until 1960. Now by single track road, it is an adventure for whisky enthusiasts.

TALLEST ON ISLAY

Bunnahabhain's pear-shaped stills are the tallest on Islay. Their unusually long swan necks promote a lighter, delicate spirit character as heavier flavour compounds can't reach the summit.

UNCOMPROMISING SPIRIT

Non-chill filtered with no added colour, Bunnahabhain is a robust, oily spirit that stands up to full maturation in sherry and bottlings at cask strength.
