Fèis Ìle 2024: 27 Year Old Moscatel Cask Finish

At Bunnahabhain we have become renowned for our unpeated, classically sherried single malts, and this limited release is just that, and more. The floral aromas of jasmine and rose petals from the Moscatel cask pair sublimely with our Bunnahabhain spirit leaving you with notes of caramelised almonds and a hint of white chocolate.

Distilled on the 7th of November 1996 before being transferred into the finest Moscatel Sherry wine cask on the 5th of March 2014, the spirit remained resting before being bottled at a cask strength of 46.6% ABV in 2023. Produced in a similar way to Pedro Ximenez, Moscatel is naturally sweet with notes of muscat grape on the nose and palate. The result is a delicate and gentle dram leading with orange blossom and honeysuckle on the palate, and lingering sweet finish of grapefruit and walnuts.

Only 264 bottles produced, all exclusively available at Bunnahabhain Distillery and on our website.

Palate

Orange blossom and honeysuckle are balanced with creamy malt, sweet cereal and a hint of oak.

Lingering sweet finish with grapefruit and walnuts.
