TASTING NOTES
NOSE
Gentle spray of coastal peat smoke balanced by dried fruits. Notes of sultanas, baked figs, orange peel, roasted hazelnuts and a leather with a hint of vanilla and charred oak.
PALATE
Smoked almonds, toasted malt, stewed plums, cocoa powder, soft treacle, and hints of ginger spice. Sherry notes integrate with salted caramel and a smoky maritime core.
FINISH
Lingering peat warmth fading into dried fruit sweetness.

A ROAD LESS TRAVELLED
Situated on the Sound of Islay, Bunnahabhain is the most northerly distillery, only accessible by boat until 1960. Now by single track road, it is an adventure for whisky enthusiasts.
TALLEST ON ISLAY
Bunnahabhain's pear-shaped stills are the tallest on Islay. Their unusually long swan necks promote a lighter, delicate spirit character as heavier flavour compounds can't reach the summit.
UNCOMPROMISING SPIRIT
Non-chill filtered with no added colour, Bunnahabhain is a robust, oily spirit that stands up to full maturation in sherry and bottlings at cask strength.
